ABOUT KIMBERLY KRAUS

Kimberly is a Licensed Acupuncturist and the owner of Rising Sun Acupuncture in Fredericksburg (since 2011) and Lago Vista (since 2003). She earned her Master’s in Oriental Medicine from the Academy of Oriental Medicine in Austin in 2002, after completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from Northern Illinois University. Kimberly is also certified as an Applied Clinical Nutritionist, Applied Kinetic Science Practitioner, Comprehensive Iridologist, Body Code Practitioner, Detox Specialist, Reiki Master, and Angel Card Reader.

Her journey into healing began unexpectedly in 1998 with a chance encounter at a psychic fair. Told she had “healing energy in her hands,” Kimberly skeptically tried Reiki and the experience transformed her life. That first session opened the door to a deeper calling: to pursue energy medicine and help others heal.

Through years of personal growth work, including the Phoenix Project; a 12-week rite of passage for emotional and spiritual healing — Kimberly came to acupuncture. A single shiatsu massage sparked her curiosity about the body’s energy channels, and her first acupuncture treatment confirmed what she already sensed: this was her life’s path. She left her corporate job, moved to Austin, and immersed herself in the study of Oriental Medicine.

Since then, Kimberly has combined traditional Chinese medicine with nutrition, energy work, and holistic modalities to create a truly integrative approach to healing. Her practice is rooted in the belief that true wellness comes from addressing the whole person, body, mind, and spirit.

Outside the clinic, Kimberly finds joy in the Texas Hill Country - raising chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys and monarch butterflies, and cherishing family life. She sees every experience, the challenges as much as the blessings, as preparation for her calling to guide others on their own path to health and balance.
